Are Labelly Waterproof Name Stickers waterproof?

Yes. Our Waterproof Name Stickers are designed for everyday use and are completely waterproof once properly applied.

They’re perfect for drink bottles, lunch boxes, containers and other everyday items.

What surfaces do they work best on?

They work best on smooth, clean and dry surfaces such as:

  • Plastic
  • Glass
  • Metal

For best adhesion, make sure the surface is free from dust, oil and moisture before applying.

Are there any surfaces I should avoid?

We don’t recommend applying Waterproof Name Stickers to fabric, clothing or heavily textured surfaces.

For clothing and fabric items, please use our No-Iron Clothing Stickers instead.

How should I apply them for the best result?

Apply the sticker to a clean and completely dry surface, then press firmly across the entire sticker.

Try to avoid touching the adhesive side while applying.

For the best adhesion, allow 1–2 days after application before washing or exposing the item to water.

Are they dishwasher safe?

Yes. They are dishwasher safe for everyday use.

However, repeated exposure to high heat or very strong dishwasher cycles may affect the stickers over time.

For the longest-lasting result, hand washing is recommended when possible. If using a dishwasher, we recommend a short cycle under 30 minutes.

Can they handle heat?

The stickers are designed for normal everyday use, but excessive or prolonged heat may affect the adhesive and finish.

We recommend avoiding direct or high heat whenever possible.

How do I remove Waterproof Name Stickers?

Our Waterproof Name Stickers are made for strong, long-lasting adhesion, so they can be difficult to remove once fully applied. We recommend choosing the placement carefully before sticking them down.

To remove:

  • Soak the item in hot water for at least 30 minutes, or
  • Soak the sticker thoroughly with ethanol

Once softened, gently push or scrape the sticker away using a squeegee.

Removal may take some time depending on the surface and how long the sticker has been applied.

Where can I use Clothing Stickers?

Our Clothing Stickers can be used on a wide range of everyday items, including:

For fabrics with a high cotton content, we recommend applying the sticker to the care label or clothing tag where possible for better adhesion.

How should I apply them for the best result?

Apply the sticker to a clean and completely dry surface, then press firmly over the entire sticker, especially around the edges.

Once applied, allow at least 24 hours before exposing the item to water or washing.

Avoid repositioning the sticker after application, as this may reduce adhesion.

Can I use the washing machine and dryer?

Yes. Our Clothing Stickers are suitable for both the washing machine and dryer.

Please make sure to wait at least 24 hours after application before washing or drying the item.

Do they work on every type of fabric?

Adhesion may vary depending on the fabric texture and fibre composition.

For fabrics with a high cotton content, we recommend applying the sticker to the garment’s care label or clothing tag where possible.

Very fluffy, heavily textured or thick fabrics may require extra care when applying.

Can I remove them?

Yes. Clothing Stickers are generally easy to remove and are designed to come off without leaving sticky adhesive residue behind.

Removal may be more difficult on thick, fluffy or heavily textured items such as fleece, woolly clothing or similar fabrics.

For best results, peel the sticker away slowly and gently rather than pulling it off quickly.

Where should I avoid placing them?

For the best durability, avoid areas that are constantly folded, stretched or exposed to heavy friction.

Flatter areas of the item generally provide the best adhesion and longest-lasting result.

Personalisation & Orders

Can I use a long name?

Yes, but longer names may appear smaller to fit the design. Names with 4–7 letters usually give the best visual result.

For a cleaner look, we recommend shortening longer names where possible.

For example, “Timmy Kim” could be written as “Tim”, “Timmy K.” or “Timmy.K”.

Can I cancel or change my order?

As each order is personalised, changes or cancellations may not be possible once production has started.
